GOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!! Cagliari have surely won it!!!! Joao Pedro curls a superb free-kick round the wall which wrong-foots Donnarumma, and although he manages to get a hand to it to keep it out, he can only turn the ball into the path of Pisacane who drills the ball into the back of the net from three yards out.
90'
ANOTHER CHANCE!! Cagliari squander yet another chance as Han gets away from the Milan defence inside the penalty area and has the chance to shoot on his left foot, but he delays the shot for far too long and Calabria recovers extremely well to make a good block when the substitute eventually does get a shot away.
89'
CHANCE! Another golden opportunity for Cagliari as Joao Pedro gets into a similar position from which he scored the opening goal, inside the left-hand edge of the area with only Donnarumma to beat, but this time the goalkeeper gets down well to his left to keep out the shot.
88'
The home fans are making plenty of noise now as they try and give their side a lift in the final few minutes in their search for a late winner, and there are half-hearted appeals for a penalty for handball against Ocampos, but the referee isn’t interested.
86'
HUGE CHANCE!!! Farias gets half a yard of space on the right-hand side and whips in a delightful cross which is fractionally too high for Han, but Farago arrives behind him only to fire his first-time volley over the bar from seven yards out.
85'
Cagliari, who were under serious pressure a few minutes ago, now look the far more dangerous of the two teams following Paletta’s sending off.
83'
CHANCE!! A huge chance for Cagliari as Donnarumma spills a corner and the ball falls at the feet of an unmarked Ionita 12 yards out from goal, but there are a lot of bodies between him and the goal and his fierce, goal-bound effort is blocked away from danger.
80'
R. Biancu enters the game and replaces A. Deiola.
Another change for Cagliari as Deiola is replaced by Roberto Biancu.
79'
Disallowed goal!! Han thinks he’s put Cagliari ahead as he fires the ball past Donnarumma from the edge of the area, but the flag goes up against him for offside, before Farias is denied at the near post by Donnarumma in the following passage of play.
78'
S. Padoin gets yellow.
Fernandez picks out Ocampos with a clever ball down the line which Ocampos gets on the end of before being brought to ground by Padoin, who becomes the latest player to go into the referee’s book.

Description
77'
C. Zapata enters the game and replaces C. Bacca.
Perhaps a sign that Vincenzo Montella would settle for a point now following that red card as Bacca is replaced by Cristian Zapata.
75'
G. Paletta gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
RED CARD!! Paletta is shown a second yellow card for a poor, mistimed foul on Han and Milan are down to 10 men. That’s Paletta’s fifth red card of the season!!
73'
The Milan fans are really getting behind their side now and they have all the momentum in their favour with Cagliari defending in numbers.
72'
Penalty goal scored by G. Lapadula for AC Milan!
GOOOOAAAALLLLL!!! Lapadula scores the penalty!! Crosta brings down Bacca in front of the near post and this time he is unable to keep the resultant spot kick out as Lapadula drills the ball straight down the middle.
71'
PENALTY TO MILAN!!
69'
Han Kwang-Song enters the game and replaces M. Borriello.
Borriello is forced off with an injury and Kwang-Song Han comes on in his place.
SAVE!! A superb save from Donnarumma as Joao Pedro’s first-time effort from the left-hand corner of the penalty box deflects off Gomez and heads towards the near post, but the Milan keeper springs to his right to keep the ball out.
67'
G. Paletta gets yellow.
Paletta becomes the latest player to go into the book for a foul on Borriello.
Milan are throwing plenty of bodies at Cagliari now but the home side are repelling everything that is being thrown at them, particularly their goalkeeper Crosta who is having an exceptional game on his senior debut against his parent club.
65'
G. Gómez gets yellow.
Gomez is shown a yellow card for a needless shoulder barge off the ball following a foul by Kucka.
63'
Penalty saved by L. Crosta!
SAVED BY CROSTA!!!! Crosta punches away Honda’s cross from the free-kick but Paletta gets on the loose ball and chips it past Ionita who brings him down inside the area, leading the referee to point to the spot, but Crosta dives low to his left to brilliantly keep out Bacca’s spot kick.
62'
PENALTY TO MILAN!!
61'
A. Deiola gets yellow.
Deiola is shown a yellow card for the foul.
60'
There’s a real sense of urgency about Milan now which wasn’t there in the first half, and they win a free-kick close to the right-hand corner flag following a foul on Ocampos by Deiola.
58'
Cagliari are camped deep inside their own half now with Milan controlling his game, but Vincenzo Montello is still barking instructions to his side on the edge of his technical area.
56'
Locatelli picks the ball up 35 yards out with space ahead of him and chooses to go for goal, but his well-struck effort is always rising and goes comfortably over the bar in the end, although it did have Crosta diving across his goal.
55'
It looks as though Milan have switched to three at the back following that half-time substitution which could suit Cagliari, who’ve looked a threat in wide areas so far.
53'
CHANCE!! A huge chance for Milan as Honda picks out Bacca in the middle and the striker shifts the ball onto his right foot and seems to have the simple task of burying the ball in the corner from 10 yards out, but he fires his effort straight into his teammate Lapadula and Cagliari escape with the ball.
51'
A half-chance for Cagliari now as Joao Pedro lays the ball off to Farias on the edge of the penalty box, but his first-time effort is a tame one and Donnarumma claims it easily.
50'
Ocampos once again gets on the ball in space down the right-hand side and has Bacca and Lapadula to aim for in the middle, but his cross is a horrible one and goes high over the bar and straight out for a goal kick.
48'
Milan have made a really bright start to this second half which is exactly what Vincenzo Montello would have wanted from his side, as Bacca goes close with a curling effort from the edge of the area which goes narrowly wide of the post.
47'
Milan are awarded a free-kick 30 yards out to the right of goal following a foul on Ocampos and Mati Fernandez swings in the cross, but Borriello heads it behind for a corner, which is then hacked clear by Pisacane.
46'
G. Lapadula enters the game and replaces L. Vangioni.
Milan are making their second change at the start of this second half with Gianluca Lapadula coming on to replace Vangioni.
Kick-off! Milan get the second half underway.
45' +4
Close! Wonderful play from Milan as Ocampos plays a neat one-two with Locatelli on the edge of the penalty box before making a dangerous run into the Cagliari penalty box and attempting an ambitious overhead kick, but the ball is just taken away from him before he can make any sort of contact with the ball.
45' +3
SAVE!! Kucka gets up well to direct a header towards goal from six yards out, but Crosta leaps to his left to keep the ball out, although it was certainly a save he would expect to make.
45' +1
We’re into the first of five minutes of added time at the end of this first half after a couple of injuries as well as the drinks break.
44'
A wasted opportunity for Cagliari as they break forward at pace down the right through Panagiotis Tachtsidis following a Milan corner, but the midfielder’s attempted pass into the path of Joao Pedro is a poor one and rolls straight into the arms of Donnarumma.
42'
JP Galvão gets yellow.
Joao Pedro becomes the first player to go into the book for a poor tackle on Gomez.
40'
A half-chance for Cagliari as Joao Pedro lofts the ball over the top of the Milan defence and into the penalty box where it drops perfectly for Borriello to hit it first time, but he delays the shot and ends up losing the ball, although the flag does go up against him so the goal would not have counted.
38'
Lovely football from Milan as Manuel Locatelli and Bacca exchange neat passes before the ball is spread wide to Ocampos on the right-hand side, but Cagliari have plenty of men back to clear the ball away before Locatelli can get on the end of it.
36'
Milan are certainly starting to look far more comfortable in possession now but they still aren’t really offering a huge amount of threat to Crosta’s goal.
34'
S. Miangué enters the game and replaces N. Murru.
Murru appears to have landed awkwardly in that collision with Bacca and he’s forced to leave the field on a stretcher, with Senna Miangue coming on to replace him.
32'
Bacca is absolutely furious with referee Abisso now as he goes down under a challenge from Murru inside the penalty box but is told to get back to his feet. The challenge did appear to be a little clumsy but Bacca certainly went down easily.
30'
L. Ocampos enters the game and replaces Suso.
Suso is still of the pitch as Honda’s well-struck, left-footed effort towards goal from 25 yards out is well blocked by the Cagliari defence.
Suso isn’t going to be able to continue and Lucas Ocampos comes on in his place.
28'
Suso has gone to ground clutching his knee after a collision with Farago and he looks to be in some discomfort. This would be a huge blow for Milan if he had to be replaced.
26'
SUPER SAVE!!! Kucka very nearly gifts Cagliari a second goal as his back pass towards Donnarumma is an extremely poor one and Farias capitalises to go clean through on goal, but the striker tries to take the ball round the Italian goalkeeper, who reads it well to stick out two hands and take the ball away.
25'
It is an extremely hot day in Sardinia and the players have stopped for a quick drinks break, giving Vincenzo Montella the chance to speak with his Milan players after what has been a pretty poor opening period from his side.
23'
One or two signs of frustration starting to creep in for Milan now as Suso attempts another long-range effort with very little else on, only to fire it high over the bar and into the stands.
21'
WHAT A SAVE!! Gabriel Paletta gets his head to the resultant corner and flicks the ball towards the back post where Carlos Bacca thinks he’s scored as he pokes the ball towards goal, but somehow Luca Crosta turns the ball onto the bar before catching the rebound on his own goal line.
20'
Milan look to respond almost immediately as Suso’s curled 25-yard effort deflects narrowly wide of the Cagliari goal.
17'
JP Galvão has scored a goal for Cagliari! Assist by M. Borriello.
GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!! Joao Pedro puts Cagliari ahead!! Borriello plays Joao Pedro in behind the Milan defence down the left-hand side of the penalty area and the forward opens his body up before side-footing the ball low past Donnarumma to give his side a deserved lead.
The pass from Borriello was well weighted for Joao Pedro, who timed his run perfectly to stay onside.
15'
Milan are finally starting to get a foothold in this game now as Honda whips in another cross from the left-hand side towards Kucka 15 yards out, but Paolo Farago does well to get there ahead of the midfielder and clear the ball away.
13'
Milan go on a rare venture forwards into the Cagliari half and Keisuke Honda stands up a cross towards the back post where Davide Calabria arrives to meet the ball at pace, but the defender is penalised for a foul as he jumped for the ball.
11'
Another half-chance for Cagliari as Ionita gets to the byline down the right-hand edge of the penalty area and his low cross rolls all the way through to Nicola Murru who’s arriving late at the edge of the box, but his first-time effort is high and wide and offers no threat to Gianluigi Donnarumma in the Milan goal.
10'
Suso and Juraj Kucka link up well close to halfway on the right-hand side but the former ends up being crowded out and the chance to break forward fizzles out.
8'
Milan are really struggling to get into this game at the moment and they look extremely vulnerable defensively.
6'
OFF THE BAR!! Another chance for Cagliari as Farias gets in behind the Milan defence down the left-hand side before cutting inside onto his right foot and rolling the ball across to Artur Ionita, who drills a fierce first-time effort against the crossbar from 18 yards out.
4'
Joao Pedro gets in behind the Milan defence after a clever ball over the top from Diego Farias, but the flag goes up against the forward. The home side have certainly made a bright start to this game though.
3'
Milan are awarded a free-kick just inside their own half for a foul on Suso and they will use it to roll the ball backwards to try and gain some control in this game.
1'
Kick-off! Referee Rosario Abisso blows his whistle and Cagliari get the game underway.
CLOSE!! An early chance for Cagliari as Joao Pedro whips in a dangerous cross from the right-hand side which Marco Borriello attacks at the near post, but he can only turn the ball inches wide of the near post from six yards out.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Serie A match between Cagliari and AC Milan at the Stadio Sant’Elia.
Cagliari go into this final game of the season sitting 13th in the Serie A table, and knowing that a win could see them finish 11th should other results go their way.
They did suffer a demoralising 6-2 defeat at Sassuolo last time out, however they have won their last three home games.
Milan meanwhile currently occupy sixth place, the final Europa League qualification spot, however they are four points clear of seventh placed Inter and can therefore not be caught.
They can’t catch Lazio in fifth either though, but they will still be looking to finish the season on a high having won just one of their last six Serie A matches.
Cagliari have made four changes from their heavy defeat at Sassuolo, as Luca Crosta, Alessandro Deiola, Artur Ionita and Paolo Farago come into the side for Rafael, Mauricio Isla, Bruno Alves and Marco Sau. They have also named just seven players on their bench.
Milan make six changes in total from the side that beat Bologna 3-0 in their last match, with Gianluigi Donnarumma, Gustavo Gomez, Gabriel Paletta, Leonel Vangioni and Carlos Bacca the men who keep their places.
Carlos Bacca scored an 88th minute winner as AC Milan scraped to a 1-0 victory when the two sides met at the San Siro in January, and the striker starts up front today ahead of Gianluca Lapadula.
The players are making their way through the tunnel and out onto the pitch for the final time at the Stadio Sant’Elia, which is due to be knocked down after today's game. Kick-off is not far away now.
Half-time: Cagliari 1-0 Milan
Cagliari lead at the Stadio Sant’Elia thanks to Joao Pedro’s early goal. The home side dominated the early stages and fully deserved their lead, but Milan grew into the game as the half wore on, although they did lose Suso to a knee injury midway through the half.
Vincenzo Montella may look to change his system in the second half in an attempt to get back into this game, as his side haven’t created too many clear-cut openings, while Cagliari boss Massimo Rastelli will be keen for his side to press for another goal to give his side some breathing space.
Full-time: Cagliari 2-1 Milan
Cagliari end life at the Stadio Sant’Elia in perfect style with a dramatic 2-1 win over Milan, thanks to Fabio Pisacane’s 93rd minute winner. The home side dominated the opening stages and took a deserved lead through Joao Pedro, but Milan responded in the second half through Gianluca Lapadula’s penalty, although not before Carlos Bacca had been denied from the spot by on-loan Milan keeper Luca Crosta, but Pisacane had the final say after Gabriel Paletta had been shown his fifth red card of the season. That’s all from us for today, thanks for joining us and we hope you can join us again soon.
