STUNNING FROM KLAASSEN! Bernardo Silva chips a sumptuous ball over the top for David Silva, but somehow Klaassen reaches back towards goal and manages to divert it behind for a corner! That may have just saved Everton a point!
90' +2
Not quite! It's all happening here in the final minutes at the Etihad! Calvert-Lewin leads a break for Everton but just can't link up with Besic, before back the other way come City and Sterling is played through on goal, but he can't pick out a team-mate with his cross!
90'
M. Bešić enters the game and replaces W. Rooney.
Nervy moments for Everon now as they are in danger of leaving the Etihad with nothing, but Koeman is hoping Muhamed Besic can help them preserve at least a draw as he's on here to replace Rooney.
Meanwhile, the board goes up to indicate four minutes of stoppage time.
88'
M. Schneiderlin gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
EVERTON DOWN TO 10 MEN! Parity restored on the scoresheet and now on the pitch as well as Schneiderlin lunges into a challenge into the back of Aguero and picks up a second yellow. That's a risky challenge, but he did win the ball and made seemingly no contact with Aguero. Another harsh decision from the referee! Two reds, both likely the incorrect decision.
86'
STAT: Sergio Aguero needs one more goal to become the all-time highest ever non-European goalscorer in Premier League history – he’s currently level with Dwight Yorke on 123 goals.
85'
Pressure being piled on by City as they search for an improbable winner. Aguero turns brilliantly in the area to get onto the end of a throughball, but slips at the vital moment as he fails to get a shot off.
84'
W. Rooney gets yellow.
And now Rooney is booked for Everton as the momentum swings firmly in favour of the hosts!
82'
R. Sterling has scored a goal for Manchester City!
PARITY RESTORED AT THE ETIHAD! It's a deserved goal for Sterling, who has been excellent since coming on for the second half! Danilo's cross is met by Holgate, but he places his header right into the path of Sterling who lashes a venomous volley into the bottom corner! No chance for Everton who concede for the first time this season!
80'
Just the 10 minutes to play now as Everton's clean-sheet record, in competitive matches, to open the season has reached 440 minutes. Do the 10 men of City have some late drama in them, or will this well-organised Everton defence be able to see it out?

Description
78'
V. Kompany gets yellow.
Back the other way come Everton and Kompany is booked for a cynical foul to halt their break. The ensuing delivery from Sigurdsson is met by the head of Rooney, but it's not enough to trouble Ederson.
77'
STOPPED BY PICKFORD! He really is earning is keep, isn't he? Sterling does so well to slip Danilo through on the right, but the full-backs strike across goal is just tipped beyond the far post by Pickford!
76'
STAT: Pep Guardiola’s side have lost just one of their last 22 home Premier League games (W13 D8 L1), which was against eventual champions Chelsea in December 2016.
74'
LIFTED OVER! What a great chance that was for City! Teed up splendidly by the first touch of Aguero, but it's skied by Sterling from 10 yards! He has to at least be working the keeper from there!
73'
DECENT EFFORT! With Pickford relatively untested, Guardiola will have no issues with the ambition of Sterling there, who fires a foot or two over the bar from 25 yards. That was struck well, but he just couldn't keep it down.
71'
Into the final 20 minutes now and City need to dig deep within them to find a breakthrough. Everton are looking completely comfortable in defending this lead, with the fresh legs of Klaassen and Sigurdsson proving vital in helping them keep the ball forward when they break.
69'
Bernardo Silva enters the game and replaces L. Sané.
A final change from the hosts sees Sane give way to Bernardo Silva.
67'
STAT: Manchester City are unbeaten in six Premier League home matches against Everton, winning three and drawing three. Prior to this run City had lost four in a row at home to the Merseyside club.
65'
Danilo enters the game and replaces J. Stones.
City's second change of the night sees Danilo replace Stones, as City also make the switch to a back four.
64'
Sigurdsson's first free-kick as in an Everton shirt is a cross, one that Ederson is able to get out to parry. City quickly regain possession and break quickly, but Sterling's cross is cleared on the end of a tidy piece of attacking play.
62'
The Everton changes prompt a change in formation to a 4-2-3-1. Holgate and Baines flank Jagielka and Keane at the back, with Schneiderlin and Gueye in front of them. It's Calvert-Lewin who leads the line, with Klaassen, Sigurdsson and Rooney behind him. They will certainly push on for a second here, and have a free-kick on the right flank to work with.
61'
G. Sigurðsson enters the game and replaces T. Davies.
D. Klaassen enters the game and replaces A. Williams.
Double-switch here for Everton, the first of which sees Davy Klaassen replace Ashley Williams - certainly not a defensive swap from Koeman.
The second change promps a roar of approval from the traveling supporters as club record signing Gylfi Sigurdsson makes his Everton debut in place of Tom Davies.
58'
Sterling has provided a real spark since coming on and another clever display of dribbling sees him win a free-kick 25 yards from goal. De Bruyne's effort strikes off Schneiderlin in the wall and the follow-up from Silva is blocked by Jagielka.
56'
Everton have to be wary of dropping deep and closing shop with so much time left. They've had very little of the ball since the restart, showing no desire or killer instinct despite their numerical advantage in personnel.
54'
The crowd has come back to life as City continue to force the issue despite being down a man. They're working the ball around sharply inside the attacking half, but they're just missing that killer ball in the final third.
52'
STAT: Before last season, Pep Guardiola had beaten every club he’d faced in league competition within his first two meetings against them. Everton are now looking to become the first team he’s failed to beat in any of his first three matches.
50'
Given the way this match has unfolded, you have to wonder if it will delay the possible debut of Sigurdsson. He was warming up at the interval, but there has been no sign of changes forthcoming. Meanwhile, City press on nicely with their 10 men, but Everton continue to deny them passage through on goal.
48'
This is going to prove tough sledding for City to try and restore parity at the Etihad, with Everton essentially playing with a back five now, with Schneiderlin and Gueye laying ahead of them. That's a full compliment of capable defenders for the 10 men of City to try and break down.
46'
R. Sterling enters the game and replaces Gabriel Jesus.
Back underway in the second half!
Raheem Sterling replaces Gabriel Jesus at the interval.
45' +2
HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 0-1 EVERTON.
45'
There will be two minutes added on at the end of this first half.
44'
K. Walker gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
CITY DOWN TO 10 MEN! Bad to worse for the hosts as Kyle Walker sees a second yellow in as many minutes for throwing an arm out at Calvert-Lewin! There wasn't contact made with the elbow, but Bobby Madley deems it worthy of a second yellow as Waker is sent off in his home debut!
43'
STRAIGHT AT PICKFORD! Electrifying stuff from City in attack as they get forward with plenty of pace! Gabriel gets on the end of a cleverly dinked cross, takes a touch to control and a second to shoot, but it's right at Pickford from 10 yards!
42'
K. Walker gets yellow.
Walker becomes the third player of the match to see yellow, and the first for City, as he arrives late with a challenge on Baines.
41'
STAT: Wayne Rooney is just the second player in Premier League history to reach 200 goals, along with Alan Shearer (260).
39'
The tempo has really picked up over the last 10 minutes and it's become wonderfully fiesty following Rooney's opener. City are pushing forward in numbers as they aim to right the ship before the interval, while Everton remain a threat on the break.
37'
Football can be very cruel at times. City were in the midst of their best spell of the match, and seconds after Silva hits the post it's Everton who score at the other end with their first shot on target! And to make matters worse, it's Rooney who scores it, the man who spent the past 13 seasons on the other side of Manchester.
35'
W. Rooney has scored a goal for Everton! Assist by D. Calvert-Lewin.
Calvert-Lewin has been Everton's most threatening player in this match and he's rewarded here with an assist.
HISTORY IS MADE BY WAYNE ROONEY! The ex-Manchester United striker deliciously finishes a tidy move, following some terrific play from Calvert-Lewin in the area, for his 200th Premier League goal and his second of the season already - and it comes against his former rivals!
34'
OFF THE WOODWORK! City have turned on the style now! Terrific interplay caps off their best spell of the match, and it ends with Silva being played through on the left. He beats Pickford at his near post, but not the frame of the goal!
33'
STUNNING CHALLENGE! That's a piece of brilliance from Jagielka, who again denies City their opener, this time sliding in brilliantly in the area to deny him from getting a shot off after being played through cleverly by De Bruyne!
32'
Full marks to Everton for how well they have frustrated City on the front foot. The hosts have not been lacking numbers going forward, but the Toffees remain organised and compact at the back, which has led to plenty of frustration for City.
30'
STAT: Sergio Aguero has failed to score in his last six Premier League appearances against Everton, his longest current drought versus a top-flight side.
28'
Both sides are looking sharper in attack, but it's the defenses who have had the upper hand through the opening half-hour. Stones is the latest to stamp his authority on the match, putting in a pair of excellent interventions to deny Everton on the break.
26'
CLEARED OFF THE LINE! First real chance of the match so far as Aguero dinks a clever effort over Pickford after the keeper did well to save Otamendi's initial effort, but Jagielka is on hand to head off the line and behind for a corner!
24'
T. Davies gets yellow.
Davies does well to slip by Otamendi and then goes to ground in a hurry, claiming a free-kick just outside the penalty area, but it's deemed to have been a dive and the teenager is booked for simulation! There was clear contact, but even though he kicked the ball a bit too far forward to run onto, that's a harsh decision from the referee.
23'
Superb tracking from Holgate who recognises the run of Aguero and provides terrific cover, getting on the inside track of the striker and snuffing out the throughball. He's shoved in the back by Aguero, who was clearly frustrated by how firmly he was blocked off from running onto the ball, and wins a free-kick deep in his own end.
21'
STAT: Wayne Rooney’s last away appearance in the Premier League for Everton was a 5-1 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
19'
Everton growing in the ascendency as the tempo picks up at the Etihad. The Toffees win their first corner of the match and Williams is able to meet it, but it's a tame effort that knocks off Walker and safely into the arms of Ederson.
17'
Great stuff from Calvert-Lewin to chase down a hopeful ball over the top and hold it up brilliantly as he waits for support to arrive before teeing up Davies, but his shot winds up drifting harmlessly wide of the near post in the end.
15'
Everton need to do a much better job of retaining possession when they win it back. At the moment they're booting it frantically up the pitch where there's always a light-blue shirt waiting, and it's seen the Toffees hemmed back in their own end as a result.
13'
A second corner for City proves disappointing once again as Everton's controversial zonal marking system gets the job done. A defensive header comes out for Fernandinho, but the midfielder flashes an effort over the bar from close to 30 yards.
11'
City are growing in stature as they continue to dominate possession. Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero are becoming increasingly involved, with the Everton back line starting to lose their shape a bit as they try and combat with City's sharp movement off the ball.
9'
STAT: Manchester City lost their last Premier League meeting with Everton 0-4. It was Pep Guardiola’s heaviest ever defeat in league competition as a manager.
7'
M. Schneiderlin gets yellow.
Cynical challenge from Schneiderlin into the back of Aguero and that will produce an early booking for the Everton midfielder.
Jordan Pickford, who has yet to concede in a competitive match since joining Everton, is put to the test for the first time as he has to dive across to his right to collect a teasing free-kick that had been knocked towards goal by Wayne Rooney. This Manchester City crowd would have errupted with a Rooney own goal.
5'
Plenty of congestion in the midfield third as the Toffees remain very compact off the ball. The bulk of space is out wide, but it's proving difficult to get the ball into those areas for City as the visitors do very well to suffocate Pep Guardiola's side when they're in possession.
3'
The hosts boss possession through the opening stages without issuing much of an attacking threat. Everton are set up with the intent of defending first, biding their time before they break, and their first opportunity to do so sees Calvert-Lewin flash a shot just wide of goal after latching onto a clever ball over the top.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! A smoke-filled Etihad as the pyrotechnic display ahead of kick-off has clouded the view of these players, but we're off and running anyhow! It's City who get the game started, attacking left to right in their light-blue home strip.
Hello and welcome to live coverage from the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City host Everton on this delectable edition of Monday night football!
Manchester City have been tipped by many to return to the Premier League summit this season, and following a fruitful summer in the transfer market, they opened up in convincing fashion against Brighton – a tricky fixture to begin the season.
But they can really issue a statement tonight at the Etihad against a new-look Everton side, following a season where they posted the worst record at home among the top six, and the incentive is greater with the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool having already dropped points this campaign.
Everton are perfect through four matches this season across all competitions, having yet to concede in the campaign. With so many new faces at Goodison it really has been an impressive start, with Ronald Koeman able to build cohesion early and avoid any slip ups.
But it’s about to get a whole lot harder for the Toffees. Koeman’s side have their sights set on a push for the top four, but we are about to find out just how legitimate of a threat they pose over these next four Premier League fixtures, away to Manchester City and Chelsea, home to Spurs and away to United. Giddy up.
MANCHESTER CITY (3-5-2): Ederson; Kompany, Stones, Otamendi; Walker, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, D. Silva, Sane; Aguero, Gabriel.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
SUBS: Bravo, Danilo, Sterling, Mangala, B. Silva, Toure, Foden.
Pep Guardiola makes just one change from their opening match victory over Brighton, with Leroy Sane coming in to replace Danilo on the left. It's an attack-minded swap from the Spaniard, with Sane and Kyle Walker flanking strikers Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus, while Kevin de Bruyne and David Silva provide support.
Ronald Koeman makes two changes from the victory over Stoke. Mason Holgate and Tom Davies replace Davy Klaassen and the injured Sandro Ramirez, while club record signing Gylfi Sigurdsson has been included among the substitutes and could be in line for a debut tonight.
Wayne Rooney's 200th Premier League goal has Everton leading at the Etihad through 45 minutes, and it will prove to be an uphill battle for City in the second half after Kyle Walker saw two yellow cards in quick succession. The hosts came close through Sergio Aguero twice, while David Silva also hit the woodwork, but it's the Toffees who are celebrating though 45 minutes, highlighted by a terrific showing from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
No shortage of drama at the Etihad as a thrilling encounter ends in a stalemate with Raheem Sterling's late goal cancelling out Wayne Rooney's opener, his 200th goal in the competition, with both sides ending the match down a man following the sending off of Kyle Walker and Morgan Schneiderlin.
